The US Virgin Islands are the most popular gateway to the Caribbean. St Thomas' modern airport supports most commercial sized jets and many US airlines have direct flights from the mainland.

There is an excellent Ferry service between the islands and also to the BVI (British Virgin Islands) so you can use this popular and inexpensive service to move your party to Tortola if your charter starts in the BVI.
